Speed Reading for High School Students

Basic Information

Free 1-Hour Speed Reading Workshops
We offer these workshops to students at high schools to give teachers and principals an idea of our approach to helping high school students read more efficiently. Students start the workshop by finding out how fast they currently read and usually end the workshop making some kind of improvement. The interactive workshop also provides tips on reading faster on the computer.

Comprehensive Classes
This program consists of multiple days for a total of 8-10 hours of instruction. We work on both speed and comprehension with 40% emphasis on speed and 60% emphasis on comprehension. Why? Because it's not reading unless you understand and remember it.

Students are encouraged to bring their textbooks to this class to apply what they learn right away. In many cases, they are able to get some of their homework done within the sessions. One component of the program teaches students how to do better on standardized reading exams.

A standardized test is given at the beginning and end of the program. The average students completes the program reading 2-3 times faster with a 20% increase in comprehension.

Organize a Free 1-Hour Workshop on Your Campus
Would you like a workshop provided at your high school? We understand that budgets are limited. That's why, at the very least, we would be more than happy to offer a free 1-hour reading workshop to your school to demonstrate our approach to improving reading fluency. If you're a principal, teacher, parent or student you are more than welcome to contact us to help organize a workshop at your school.

Invite us to your high school

"I would be more than happy to recommend your program to others. The students all agree that it was useful and helpful. Your efforts to enhance our students' progress are greatly appreciated!"
