Basic Information
Free 1-Hour Speed Reading
Workshops
We
offer these workshops on college campuses throughout the U.S. and
always see great turnouts, in many cases over one hundred students show
up for the workshop. Students start by finding out how fast they
currently read and usually end the workshop making some kind of
improvement. The interactive workshop also provides tips on reading
faster on the computer.
Comprehensive
2-day Weekend Classes
Our
most comprehensive
class. An
intensive 10 hours (with breaks of course) of instruction, spanning two
days (Saturday & Sunday, 5 hours each day). We work on both
speed
and comprehension with 40% emphasis on speed and 60% emphasis on
comprehension. Why? Because it's not reading unless you understand and
remember it.
Students are encouraged to bring their textbooks to this class to apply
what they learn right away. A standardized test is given at
the
beginning and end of the program. The average students completes the
weekend reading 3 times faster with a 20% increase in comprehension. Class space limited to 20
students.

Organize
a Free 1-Hour Workshop on Your Campus
Would you like to plan
an event at our
school?
If you're a student organization or department, we would be more than
happy to help you organize a free speed reading workshop. It can be
made available to just your group/department, or the entire campus.
Past events at other schools have seen tremendous turnouts with great
feedback. Contact
us for details to schedule one
this semester.
"Many
of the students who attended said this was one of the most beneficial
'classes' available to students and they wish they had attended one
freshman year. I strongly urge any university to partner with Iris in
bringing these workshops to more students!"
